Class overview

At Little NaS Nursery, we believe the best classrooms sometimes have no walls. Our Outdoor Learning & Nature Play programme brings the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to life through fresh air, movement, and sensory exploration.

Children aged from 2 to 5 years benefit from meaningful outdoor experiences that support their physical, emotional, and intellectual development.

The programme encourages:

  • Gross motor skills through running, climbing, balancing, and digging

  • Teamwork through outdoor games, collaborative tasks, and shared discoveries

  • Problem-solving by exploring natural materials, building dens, and observing wildlife

  • Environmental awareness by gardening, recycling, and learning to care for plants and animals

  • Creativity and imagination inspired by natural textures, sounds, and scenery

Nature-based learning promotes resilience, confidence, and a deep respect for the world around us.
