Class overview

Our Preschool Room is thoughtfully designed for children aged 3 to 5 years, providing a rich, stimulating environment that prepares them for a successful transition to primary school.

The programme follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and balances play-based learning with structured activities. Our approach fosters confident learners, critical thinkers, and kind friends ready for the next chapter of their education.

We focus on the seven key areas of learning:

  • Communication & Language – expanding vocabulary and listening skills through storytelling, role-play, and group discussion

  • Physical Development – improving coordination, movement, and self-care

  • Personal, Social & Emotional Development – building independence, empathy, and emotional resilience

  • Literacy – introducing letters, phonics, early reading and writing

  • Mathematics – basic counting, patterns, problem-solving, and number recognition

  • Understanding the World – exploring nature, communities, technology, and cultures

  • Expressive Arts & Design – music, painting, dance, and imaginative play

Each child’s progress is tracked and supported by our dedicated team, ensuring they leave Little NaS with the confidence and skills they need for school life.
